Dear Valued Customers,

We would like to inform you that, starting March 1st, 2025, Port 25 (SMTP) will be blocked across all RDP services provided by Lurstan Host. This change is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance security, prevent abuse, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

What Does This Mean for You?

  • Sending outbound email directly from your RDP servers using Port 25 will no longer be possible.
  • This change primarily affects users running mail servers or applications that rely on direct SMTP delivery from their RDP.

Why Is Port 25 Being Blocked?

Port 25 is commonly abused for spam and unsolicited email activities. To maintain the integrity of our network and protect the reputation of our IP addresses, we are enforcing this block.

Alternatives

If you need to send emails from your RDP, we recommend:

  • Using authenticated SMTP services via ports such as 587 or 465, which remain open.
  • Routing emails through external mail services like Gmail, Outlook, or any transactional email provider.

We’re Here to Help

If you have any questions or need assistance configuring your applications to work with these changes, please feel free to contact our support team.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
